A note from John:

“Two years ago I spent a week in Costa Rica for the first time. It rained every day. I love the rain, I love the energy it provides. We had no cell service, no WiFi, just jungle, ATV’s and adventure. On my birthday my wife and I decided to head out.

We asked the bartender at the spot we had been frequenting for a suggestion. His response became the premise for the majority of this season… “Do you want to see the people?” The answer was obvious. NO.

The next morning we headed out into the jungle in a light rain. Predictably we got lost; the rain turned into a downpour. We eventually found a waterfall as the daylight was dwindling. Along the way we crossed rivers, fought, cried laughing, played with monkeys, swam in the ocean, lost a camera, and almost didn’t make it back.

The smells, the anxiety, joy, love, curiosity, fear, and mosquito bites of that 14 hour adventure are etched into my memory, for all of the right reasons.

At some point I knew I was going to try to tap into that day. It’s like a small mosquito bite in my brain and it feels good to scratch.”

Shot on location in Costa Rica, the Men’s Spring / Summer 20 lookbook highlights a collection inspired by the diverse geographical conditions and visual characteristics of the region. Material choices create comfort in the truly uncomfortable. Waterproofing technology is applied to French terry. Outerwear and knit styles are crafted in tie dye treatments. Cut and sew is washed down, while denim is treated with a water-color like finish.
